Welcome!! I just want to say first off, I’m so excited about being able to share recipes and my thoughts about food. I love food. I’ve definitely changed my eating habits over the years. The 80’s were basically meat, potato and a canned vegetables. Well that was my house. It wasn’t practical to have fresh fruit & vegetable smoothies every morning. Years went by and soon realized that I was an overweight teenager. Once in my twenties it became more of habit to buy mostly fresh organic foods. I knew I wanted to stay away from anything canned. I shop the perimeter of grocery stores. Well sometimes we need ice cream.
I have a daughter starting kindergarten this September so it’s my number one priority for her to have a healthy snack and lunch while learning. It will be a interesting coming up with fun food ideas for her five days a week. My daughter only likes things once unless she absolutely loves it. Then she might eat it twice. What I do know is that if your child likes certain foods like tomato,cucumber,strawberries,grapes and olives keep giving it to them. At least they’re getting some healthy foods without a fuss. That’s another reason I give my daughter fruit and veggie smoothies. I’m open to ideas about what you do for healthy lunch and snacks while at school. Please give some feedback!!!
I work part time as a resident care aide which means a lot of work on the weekends. Since school is starting soon I’m looking for other ways of making an income during school hours. This blog is my outlet that allows me to share my thoughts and ideas with whoever comes across my site.
